The Vineyard

After the party on Saturday, we managed to clean up (enough) and pack (fairly well) and get out the door (almost) on time for our ferry. The mini van was so full, we actually had to have Mom climb into the 3rd row, then finish packing behind her. If she got car sick, we would have been screwed, since she was so packed in there and had no quick way out. We had a nice ferry ride....Sam always gets a kick out of driving onto the boat, and we always get a kick out of his fascination with the boat ride. After a looooong day, we were happy to see that the house we rented was VERY nice, and that even though they don't provide sheets and towels (oops! neither Pete nor I read the rental sheet) someone had left a couple sheets and Colin was able to bring us some towels and TP to get us through the night. Yesterday we spent a couple hours at the airport...picnic lunch, playground, planes taking off and landing...what more do a couple little boys need? We had an ice cream cake for Pete's birthday, and he and I went out for a drink to celebrate, while Mom stayed with the boys. Today it was rainy, so Sam and I hit a toy store and then we all went to the Oak Bluffs Library for a while. We read lots of books, had a nice time. Parker has been sleeping great, which is unusual for us being away. Both boys slept until 7:30 this morning...unheard of!
